Summary: Firefighter Hernandez was killed in a vehicle collision while working near Willows, California. The engine in which he was riding was stuck by a pickup truck that crossed the center line and impacted the engine along the left underside and rear dual wheels. The engine flipped and landed upside down. Firefighter Hernandez was wearing a seat belt but was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
