Summary: Chief Weber had been fighting a series of wildland fires all day. After his department was dispatched to the third call of the day, Chief Weber arrived on the scene and began to coordinate an attack on a wildland fire. Chief Weber suddenly collapsed. Firefighters from a neighboring department that were providing mutual aid began to provide treatment for Chief Weber. CPR was started immediately and an AED was used. Chief Weber was transported to the hospital; he could not be revived. The cause of death was a heart attack.
