Summary: Fire Safety Officer Remy Pochelon was assigned as the Safety Officer on the Table Mountain Fire on September 25, 2009. On September 29, 2009, Remy was out on the fire line performing his duties, hiking long distances with a heavy pack and working with firefighters and command officers. The next morning while still assigned to the fire, Fire Safety Officer Remy Pochelon suffered a CVA and died.
