Summary: On August 10, 2013, Kevin Hall, of Ontario, OR was providing bulldozer support when he apparently suffered a medical issue. He was working as a lowboy operator transporting and supporting a dozer for Brian McKinney, a contractor on the Grassy Mountain Fire, 20 miles southeast of Rome, OR. The fire had been contained and Hall was working to improve an existing fireline. He was found unresponsive in a pickup Saturday. Other workers administered CPR but couldn’t revive him.

    VALE, Ore. – A bulldozer contractor died while working on the Grassy Mountain fire Saturday, Bureau of Land Management officials said. The BLM announced Sunday that 59-year-old Kevin Hall, of Ontario, died while working as a driver on the fire, which is located about 20 miles east of Rome, Oregon.

    He was found unresponsive in his vehicle. BLM employees and another fire contractor administered CPR until an air ambulance arrived, the BLM said. Hall was pronounced dead the scene. Officials believe Hall died after suffering from a medical issue.

The family moved and he grew up and attended school in Adrian, Oregon. He spent his adult life in various local industries and with his wife owned a small business in Fruitland, Idaho. He had a passion for music, cars, and electronic technology, but most of all he enjoyed his family. He is survived by his wife, Debra; his daughter, Jennifer and her husband Dusty Stevens, grandchildren Laryssa and Leiland; his mother and stepfather, Ilea and Wesley Jones; his father, David Hall, and his three sisters; Robin Figueroa, Janet Enyeart, and Lynne Hatfield. Kevin’s family would like to invite those who knew him to an open house celebration of life to be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 4-8pm in the Clarion Inn, 1249 Tapadera Avenue, Ontario.
