Summary:
On Sunday, April 4, 2021, Captain Charles Wesley “Chuck” Miller, Jr. was responding to a brush fire in his personal automobile. He was killed when his vehicle went off the road and into a ditch on North Preston Highway.
Miller had served as a firefighter for 29 years. He was born December 19, 1958, in Painesville, OH, a son of the late Charles W. Miller, Sr. and Thelma M. Knotts Miller.
Chuck, as he was known to most, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to those who knew him. He was a truck driver for G & B Trucking in Kingwood. He enjoyed going for side-by-side rides with his family and friends; hunting and volunteering his time with the Albright Volunteer Fire Department where he was currently Captain and had been a member since 1992. He was also a member of other volunteer organizations, Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department, KAMP Ambulance, Valley Ambulance, Mountaineer Ambulance and the Preston County Dive Team.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Carrie M. Miller of Kingwood; two sons, Jason N. Miller of Kingwood and Stoney L. Miller and wife, Danielle of Newburg; a grandson, Nathanial Miller of Wheeling; a sister, Sharon Miller Sigley of Albright; a nephew, Kevin L. Sigley and fiancée, Christina E. Gibson, great-niece, Dani M. Sigley and fiancé, Jeff L. Rhode and great-nephew, Alex E. Sigley, all of Albright; niece, Stephanie Taylor and husband, Pete, great-nephew, Kadance Goff and great-niece, Ava Taylor of Albright; nephew, Shaun Miller; aunt, Leigh Daisy Crane of Valley Point and several cousins.
Chuck was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jo Miller; his brother, Michael Miller and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
