Summary: Firefighter Ezernack was responding in a 1,500-gallon tanker (tender) to a report of a brush fire. An embankment gave way under the right wheels of the tanker. Firefighter Ezernack attempted to regain control, but the tanker left the roadway and rolled over. Firefighter Ezernack was ejected from the vehicle and was reported to have been thrown 170 yards. Firefighter Ezernack was pronounced dead at the scene.
